Didn’t drive anywhere today really.
Today was our show at the Root Bar in Asheville. It’s a cool little dive bar at the east end of town, quite a ways from downtown and everything else we’ve been exploring the last two days. We played to a small crowd of relatively enthusiastic people though. Everyone that gave any shits about the music came and told us what they thought of it, good and bad, which is awesome. That doesn’t always happen. If anything else, the people in the south are honest. One guy liked us enough that he tipped us in frozen steaks. Hopefully they make it back to the Mitten in our cooler!
Andrew tried his hand at some more busking downtown today without much luck. I explored the Blue Ridge Parkway a bit and took a look at their visitor center, where I learned quite a bit about the parkway and it’s history.
Tomorrow we head north to Johnson City, TN to play with a fellow Michigan artist named Mike Vial. Should be fun. It’s at the Acoustic Coffeehouse in Johnson City. 8pm. It’s a free show, but we always love some donations for gas!
Only 4 more days until we’re back home among friends and loved ones.
It’s been a fun journey, but we’re starting to miss home.
- Corey.
Drove from Greensboro, NC to Asheville, NC today.
A grand total of 1019 miles traveled thus far.

Today we left a cold, rainy Greensboro and the nice people that allowed us to stay at their house last night to get some much needed sleep (Thanks Colin & the gang!) and drove to Asheville on our day off, as our next show isn’t until tomorrow night at the Root Bar here in Asheville.
We explored downtown and all that it has to offer, and I must say, Asheville is the type of place I would move to if I ever left Michigan. It’s a tremendous town.
Andrew did some street busking after we saw many a street performer around our own walk through the many shops and cafes. He made a few bucks and seeing as we were out of quarters, I moved my car to avoid a ticket and explored the UNC-Asheville campus area where we are still sitting as I type this. Their library is open until 1am and we have nothing better to do!
The temperature is steadily rising, creating a dense fog and being we’re not from around here, I think it’s best we just stay put for the evening.
We’re just hanging out here on our day off.
We play The Root Bar in East Asheville tomorrow night. Come see us if you’re in the area.

Our EP “A Million Eyes” is also now available for download on our Bandcamp page.
It’s a “name your own price” set up for the digital version. If you pay ANYTHING for the EP, we will email you a brand new track called “Stethoscope” that we just finished last night and have not yet even played live. We’ll be playing it on Thursday night and throughout the tour, but you can get an exclusive sneak peak by paying even just $1 for our EP on our Bandcamp.
